The organization and its team of doctors and medical professionals provide free surgeries and cosmetic procedures for underprivileged and poor youth, primarily in developing countries around the world. Operation Smile has conducted over two hundred thousand surgeries and has members from over 80 countries around the globe. Cleft lip and cleft palates are some of the deformities the organization the their medical volunteers help to fix in children.
Dr. Wiesfogel says that Operation Smile’s mission of ensuring that every child gets access to the best care and early intervention they need to succeed and be healthy in life is right in line with his personal beliefs. He is proud to support the organization and run a campaign that will benefit children in need.
Operation Smile was created in 1982 by Bill and Kathy Magee who wanted to help children without access to proper medical care. The organization has grown substantially thanks to the support of practitioners like Avi Weisfogel and donations which Avi Weisfogel is also spearheading. The organization provides hope, care and medical treatments that transform a child’s life. Mr. Weisfogel is proud to volunteer his efforts for raising money for such a commendable cause.
